The RFP was
advertised on the City’s online bid management and publication system, PlanetBids,
with proposals due on May 9, 2024. The selection committee with experience in traffic
signal and street lighting maintenance and related program services evaluated all
proposals. The selected, highest-ranked firm will provide traffic signal and street lighting
maintenance services for the City. Based on the criteria outlined in the RFP, the
following summarizes the responding firms and their rankings:
Firm Location Rank
Yunex Traffic Anaheim, CA 1
Econolite Systems Anaheim, CA 2
Bear Electrical Solutions, Inc.Anaheim, CA 3

Staff recommends awarding an agreement to Yunex Traffic for Traffic Signal and Street
Lighting Maintenance services (Exhibit 2).
