<br />City of Santa Ana RFP 24-046 <br />Page A1-1 <br /> <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND STREET LIGHITNG MAINTENANCE <br />RFP NO. 24-046 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in Orange County. Santa <br />Ana has a population of nearly 335,000 and serves as the county seat. The City of Santa Ana is centrally <br />located in the heart or Orange County and is bounded by Interstate-5 to the north, Interstate-405 to the <br />south and State Route-55 to the east. The City has over 450 miles of roadway including 15 major <br />arterials. <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Work Agency operates and maintains over 300 traffic signals and over <br />12,000 streetlights citywide. The Traffic Engineering division oversees day-to-day management, <br />operation, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs of the City-owned traffic signals and <br />streetlights. The City prides itself in providing its residents and visiting travelers a well maintained <br />transportation systems that promotes safety and efficiency for all modes including motorists, bicyclists, <br />pedestrians, transit, and emergency vehicles. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br /> <br />I. PURPOSE <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana is seeking an experience contractor to perform preventative and extraordinary <br />maintenance on the Citywide Traffic Signal and Street Lighting systems. <br /> <br />II. TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br />1. Scope of Work <br />The Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labors, services, <br />training and materials to perform all work necessary to maintain all traffic signal facilities <br />in a good and worker-like manner according to the proposal submitted and in accordance <br />with these specifications. <br />Maintenance of the traffic signal control system located at the City’s Traffic Management <br />Center will be done as part of extraordinary maintenance only. <br />2.
