<br />City of Santa Ana RFP 24-046 <br />Page A1-11 <br /> <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed. These record logs shall <br />become property of the City. <br />(b) Street Lighting Night Survey <br />(i) Maintenance period: <br />The Contractor shall perform a Citywide street lighting night survey once every <br />(6) six months, for proper luminaire nighttime operation. <br />(ii) Maintenance Tasks: <br /> Field Inspection: <br />o The Contractor shall visually check operation of all streetlights and <br />safety lights luminaires within the City boundary including but not <br />limited to Santa Ana owned lights, SCE owned streetlights and <br />Caltrans owned streetlights over City roadways. <br /> <br /> Maintenance Record: <br />A written record (can be Excel spreadsheet) shall be submitted to the <br />Engineer of each nonoperational streetlights and safety light. This written <br />record shall be received by the Engineer within 5 working days after the <br />survey. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall maintain a record log of each survey. It shall consist of: <br />o Survey Date and Time <br />o Route Inspected <br />o Pole number, intersection or address of non-operating light. <br />o Inspection observation. <br /> <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed. These record logs shall <br />become property of the City. <br /> <br />6. Extraordinary Maintenance <br />Extraordinary maintenance includes work tasks to install new, replace or repair defective <br />or obsolete equipment and perform modification work not directly covered by routine <br />maintenance. Work shall be performed with prior City approval unless emergency or <br />public safety conditions require immediate response. <br />(a) The failure or malfunction of streetlights may be considered extraordinary maintenance. <br />(b) Any upgrading, repair work, or any installation solicited by the City, shall be considered <br />as extraordinary. Any extraordinary maintenance requests from the City shall be <br />confirmed by the Contractor as to the time of and number of personnel dispatched. The <br />Contractor shall contact the Street lighting division regarding any extraordinary <br />maintenance work found to be beyond requested repairs and seek prior approval before <br />the work is scheduled. <br /> <br /> <br />City Council 31 – 62 6/4/2024
