3.0 Pavement Network <br />City of Santa Ana 2024 Pavement Management Program 3-5 <br />3.3 EXISTING PAVEMENT CONDITION <br />Based on the inspections and data processing procedures mentioned in Section 2.0 Methodology, <br />the majority of the local street’s pavements (46 percent) currently have a PCI of at least 86 or in <br />“Very Good” condition; this indicates that the City’s local network continues to demonstrate high <br />conditional values. Furthermore, the arterial network shows a slight improvement from 2022, <br />these results show a slight increase in the entire network since the City’s 2022 update due to <br />sustaining of condition in the local network (refer to <br />Table 3-2 for PCI distribution in 2020, 2022 compared to 2024). <br />Table 3-2: PCI Distribution Comparison (2020, 2022 vs. 2024) <br /> <br />With the proper maintenance and rehabilitation application of the local and arterial streets, the <br />majority of the entire pavement network is currently in “Very Good” condition (41 percent) with a <br />PCI of at least 86, which is similar to the results from the previous update in 2022.
