<br />Resolution No. 2024-XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024-XXX <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA RESCHEDULING THE REGULAR CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 18, 2024 TO __________, <br />2024 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 409 of the Santa Ana City Charter states that the City <br />Council shall provide for the time, place, and manner of holding its meetings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has adopted Rules and Procedures via Resolution No. <br />2023-047, of which Section 2(a) states “Regular meetings of the City Council shall be <br />held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month beginning on January 1, 2014;” and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 21, 2023, City Council approved the calendar of <br />regularly scheduled City Council meetings in 2024, as ame nded, which included a <br />regular meeting on the third Tuesday of June, June 18, 2024; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is now desirable due to a potential lack of quorum on June 18, <br />2024 to reschedule the previously scheduled June 18, 2024 City Council regular <br />meeting; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2023-047, Section 2(b), any regular <br />meeting of the Council may be set, canceled, or rescheduled to a different date, time, or <br />location by resolution duly adopted by the affirmative votes of a majority of the City <br />Council or by any other manner as provided by law. The date, time, and location of any <br />meeting set or rescheduled to a different date, time, or location shall be noticed and <br />posted in the manner provided by law. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The regular City Council meeting of June 18, 2024 is hereby <br />rescheduled to __________, 2024. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council meeting of __________, 2024 is considered a <br />regular meeting of the Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to notice and post the date, time, and <br />location of the __________, 2024 regular City Council meeting in the manner provided <br />by law. <br /> <br />Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council and the City Clerk shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this <br />Resolution. <br />  <br />  <br />City Council 37 – 11 6/4/2024
