The Contractor shall provide qualified service personnel to maintain and to service all <br />traffic signal equipment utilized by the City. Personnel shall have at least two years of <br />experience maintaining and troubleshooting traffic signal equipment. Detailed knowledge <br />of Type NEMA, Type 332 and ATCC cabinets is required. The city utilizes 2070 and <br />Cobalt controllers with Econolite ASO and EOS Firmware. Personnel must be <br />knowledgeable in the use of these controllers. <br />All Lead Maintenance Personnel is required to have an IMSA Traffic Signal Level 2 <br />Certification. In addition, all service personnel shall possess an NEC certification. <br />The City reserves the right to refuse the use of any personnel whom in the City's sole <br />opinion are not qualified to work on these systems. An agreed upon personnel list shall be <br />maintained and only those listed are allowed to work in the city. Any changes need to be <br />authorized by the City. <br />3. List of Signalized Intersections <br />See "Appendix Attachment 4" for the list of Traffic Signals, Video Detection System, <br />CCTV cameras, Flashing Beacons, and Speed Feedback Signs. <br />4. Additions to System <br />The Contractor shall maintain additional traffic signals and appurtenant devices as they <br />are added or installed. City will notify the contractor of such addition and the contractor <br />shall include them in the maintenance contract. Cost of the routine maintenance of the <br />new addition will be per contract unit price and will be effective the 1 st day of the <br />following month unless stated otherwise in the notification. <br />The City may, at it sole discretion, add and eliminate signals from this contract. The <br />contractor shall be notified of such addition or deletions in writing. Such changes shall <br />increase or decrease the invoice at the same unit price as specified in the Contract <br />Agreement. <br />5. Routine Maintenance <br />The routine maintenance shall be performed on a periodically basis based on type of <br />equipment. <br />(a) Traffic Signal: <br />(i) Maintenance period: <br />The Contractor shall perform a complete inspection and service of each signalized <br />intersection once a month, not less than 25 days or more than 35 days apart, for <br />safety, operation and cleanliness. <br />(ii) Maintenance Tasks: <br />• Cabinets: <br />The Contractor shall clean the controller cabinets and associated service <br />pedestals thoroughly on the inside, including all components. The Contractor <br />shall remove all unauthorized external attachments such as notices, posters, <br />signs, etc. and notify the City of any graffiti that is on the signal equipment.
