City of Santa Ana Emergency Operations Plan <br />Part I Basic Plan <br />Chino Fault- The Chino Fault is a right -reverse fault and is part of the Whittier -Elsinore Fault system and is <br />located northeast of Chino Hills. The fault is approximately 17.4 miles long and extends from the Santa Ana <br />Mountains northwest to the City of Pomona, as it joins the San Jose Fault. SCEC reports probable earthquake <br />magnitudes for the Chino Fault to be in the range of 6.0 - 7.0 with an unknown recurrence interval.
