SANTA ANA VISION ZERO PLAN <br />COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SUMMARY <br />73 <br />Santa Ana Winter Village, January 8, 2023 <br />Event Overview <br />Due to this event’s popularity,, LHA attended the second day of the <br />Winter Village on January 8th to capture feedback from community <br />members attending on different days. LHA Youth again assisted with <br />the outreach process and held dialogue around the Vision Zero pro- <br />ject. Engaged residents provided valuable feedback about the existing <br />conditions, problem areas, and suggestions for potential infrastructure <br />improvements. <br />Event Overview <br />LHA set up a booth at the Santa Ana <br />Unified School District’s We Care Re- <br />source Fair. This event targets the <br />youth by connect students to men- <br />tal health and suicide prevention re- <br />sources and education. This location <br />was selected to specifically target <br />student populations who are com- <br />monly walking, bicycling, and taking <br />transit and can provide valuable feed- <br />back for the project. LHA educated <br />students on the project and how safe <br />streets and walkable neighborhoods <br />connect with overall health. <br />Santa Ana Fun Run, April 22nd, 2023 <br />Event Overview <br />The Santa Ana Fun Run, held on <br />Saturday, April 22nd had a resource <br />fair area where LHA set up a booth. <br />LHA reported that the resource fair <br />section did not attract many com- <br />munity members, contributing to the <br />decision to conduct outreach at a <br />fifth event.
