<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FY 24/25CIP <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WORKSHEET <br />PROJECT TITLE:PROJECT DESCRIPTION:PROJECT NEED: <br />Zoo Pathways Phase 2 This project includes installation of new concrete pathways through <br />the central part of the zoo. The pathways replace decomposed <br />granite “dirt” pathways with accessible concrete. Included in the <br />project are improvements to public barriers at the anteater habitat <br />and nighttime lighting. <br />The goal of this project is to increase safety and accessibility of the <br />zoo. Current dirt pathways are a challenge for visitors in wheelchairs or <br />strollers, become rutted, impassable in inclement weather, and require <br />constant upkeep by staff.
