ORDINANCE NO. NS-1811 <br />PAGE SIX <br /> <br />of this code, the building official shall notify the person, firm <br />or corporation making the installation, stating the defects which <br />have been found to exist. All defects shall be corrected within <br />ten (10) days after the inspection and notification, or within <br />other reasonable time as permitted by the building official. No <br />electrical installation shall be energized until inspected and <br />approved by the building official. <br /> <br />SECTION 13: That section 8-730 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-730. Temporary connections. <br /> <br /> When authorizing the connection and use of temporary or <br />incomplete work, such authorization shall expire at a time to be <br />stated by the building official. <br /> <br />SECTION 14: That section 8-741 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-741. Approval of equipment. <br /> <br /> Ail appliances and equipment shall be listed and labeled <br />by a nationally recognized testing laboratory equal to but not <br />limited to Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc., and approved by the <br />building official. <br /> <br />SECTION 15: That section 8-742 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-742. used materials. <br /> <br /> Previously used materials shall not be reused without <br />the written approval obtained in advance from the building <br />official. <br /> <br />SECTION 16: That section 8-747 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-747. Underground installations. <br /> <br /> Whenever any property is developed with new or relocated <br />buildings or structures, or whenever floor area in excess of <br />twenty-five (25) percent of the existing floor area is added to an <br />existing building, or whenever a residential building or use is <br />converted to any purpose or use other than that which existed at <br />the time of conversion, or whenever service is changed for any <br />reason, all electrical, telephone, community antenna television <br />and similar service wires or cables which provide direct service <br /> <br /> <br />
