City Hall, Banta Ana, Cal. December 4, 1913, at ?;~0 p.m. The Board met in regular adjourned session. On motion of Mclrnee, dul7 seconded and carried,the applica- tion of Robertson-Packard to install an electric sign for the Vienna Bakery at ~10 East 4th Street, was granted, and the matter referred to the Building Inspector and the City Electrician. On motion of Mclrnee, duly seconded and carried, the petition of W.C. Huntoon, et al, petitioning the Board to commence proceedings to construct cement sidewalks and cement curbs on both sides of West Pine Street between Flower Street South and South Baker Street was granted, and the City ~ngineer was directed to prepare plans and specifications and the City Attorney to prepare Resolution of Intention. On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the City Attorney is directed to prepare a Traffic Ordinance covering alleys in the City of Santa Ans. On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the Presi- dent of the Board is authorized to sign the following Asree- ment on behalf of the Oity of Santa Ans. AGREEMENT. The City of Santa Ana,Oalifornia,agrees with Miss Lottie Palmer of said City, as follows: That the City of Santa Ana will grade West Oamile Street West from the Polytechnic High School Grounds to Flower Street; and remove and rebuild the fences, fee the use of it, and the present Board of said City will not order the construction of sidewalks and curbs along that portion of West Oamile Street extended during their terms of office. The said Miss Lottie Palmer is willing and agrees to the opening, extension and use of said West Camile Street on the conditions above set forth by said Oity. On motion of MoPhee, seconded by Greenleaf and carried,it is ordered that the committee appointed to investigate the osition of natural gas be and they are hereby authorized to employ expert assistances in their investigation at an expense not to exceed $100.00. On motion of McPhee, seoonded by Alderman and carried,the President of the Board is authorized to sign a contract on the part of the City of Santa Aha with the Southern Califor- nia Edison Company for electricity for magnetite at the rate of $5.50 per lamp and for maintaining and illuminating 50 Watt tungsten incandescent lamps at the rate of $1.10 per lsm~
