City Hall, Banta Ana, Cal. <br /> <br /> December 4, 1913, at ?;~0 p.m. <br /> <br /> The Board met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Present, Alderman, MeShes, Grsenleaf, Grubb, <br /> <br />Board called to order by President Frank <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />In Re Electric Sign <br /> <br />Vienna Bakery <br /> <br />In Re Sidewalk,West <br />Pine Street <br /> <br />In Re Ordinance,Traffic <br />Alleys, <br /> <br />In Ro Agreement <br /> <br />Miss berrie Palmer <br /> <br />West Camilo Street <br /> <br />In Re Report,Natural <br />G~ Oom~.ittee <br /> <br />In Re Electric contract <br /> <br />gy and the Clerk. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mclrnee, dul7 seconded and carried,the applica- <br /> tion of Robertson-Packard to install an electric sign for <br /> the Vienna Bakery at ~10 East 4th Street, was granted, and <br /> the matter referred to the Building Inspector and the City <br /> Electrician. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mclrnee, duly seconded and carried, the petition <br /> of W.C. Huntoon, et al, petitioning the Board to commence <br /> proceedings to construct cement sidewalks and cement curbs <br /> on both sides of West Pine Street between Flower Street South <br /> and South Baker Street was granted, and the City ~ngineer was <br /> directed to prepare plans and specifications and the City <br /> Attorney to prepare Resolution of Intention. <br /> <br /> On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the City <br /> Attorney is directed to prepare a Traffic Ordinance covering <br /> alleys in the City of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the Presi- <br /> dent of the Board is authorized to sign the following Asree- <br /> ment on behalf of the Oity of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> <br /> The City of Santa Ana,Oalifornia,agrees with Miss <br /> Lottie Palmer of said City, as follows: <br /> That the City of Santa Ana will grade West Oamile <br /> Street West from the Polytechnic High School Grounds to <br /> Flower Street; and remove and rebuild the fences, fee the <br /> use of it, and the present Board of said City will not order <br /> the construction of sidewalks and curbs along that portion <br /> of West Oamile Street extended during their terms of office. <br /> The said Miss Lottie Palmer is willing and agrees to <br /> the opening, extension and use of said West Camile Street on <br /> the conditions above set forth by said Oity. <br /> <br />On motion of MoPhee, seconded by Greenleaf and carried,it is <br />ordered that the committee appointed to investigate the <br />osition of natural gas be and they are hereby authorized to <br />employ expert assistances in their investigation at an expense <br />not to exceed $100.00. <br /> <br />On motion of McPhee, seoonded by Alderman and carried,the <br />President of the Board is authorized to sign a contract on <br />the part of the City of Santa Aha with the Southern Califor- <br />nia Edison Company for electricity for magnetite at the rate <br />of $5.50 per lamp and for maintaining and illuminating 50 <br />Watt tungsten incandescent lamps at the rate of $1.10 per lsm~ <br /> <br /> <br />
