City Hall, Santa Aha, Calif. <br /> <br /> Sept. 1§, 1915, at 7'~0 p.m. <br /> <br />Board met in regulcr session. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Alderman, }~cPhee, Greenleaf, <br /> <br />Board called to order by President Frank ~y. <br /> <br />In Re 0il and Gravel <br />West 17th Street <br /> <br />In Re Bids for 0il <br /> <br />In Re Canvass of glec~ion <br />Returns,Bond Election <br /> <br />Grubb, Ey and the Clerk. <br /> <br />A.C. Tiede and E.A. Stockslager appeared before the <br />Board and requested that the Board take some action <br />in placing West 17th Street in good condition. <br /> <br />On motion of Alderman, seconded by McPhee, and c~.rried, <br />the S~eet Department is directed to hire a sufficient <br />number of team. s for the purpose of hauling 8ravel to <br />put West 17th Street in good order as soon as practic- <br />able. <br /> <br />The President of the Board having announced this the <br />time for opening bis for fuel oil and road oil, the <br />Clerk was on motion directed to ~eoeed to open bids. <br /> <br />The following bids were received: <br /> <br />The Standard 0il Company bid $.78 per bbl. for fuel oil <br />and 9~ cts. per bbl. f.o.b. Santa Ana,fp: road oil, <br /> <br />The Associated 0il Company bid 79 cts. per bbl. for fuel <br />oil, and 93 cts. per bbl. for road oil, f.o.b. Santa Aha. <br />On motion the bids were referred to a committee,con- <br />sisting of Trustees Alderman and Greenleaf and Superin- <br />tendent Reid. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion the Board proceeded to canvass the election <br />returns of the Special Municipal ~lection of the City <br />of Santa Ana, held September,Il,1913, and after cau- <br />vassing the same the following Resolution was passed <br />and adopted by the unanin~ous vote of the Board present, <br />Resolved, that it satisfactorily appearing to the Board <br />of Trustees that the City Clerk had given, due, legal <br />and proper notice of said election in all respects, <br />and in all particulars as provided and as required by <br />law and the Ordinance of said City, said Board hereby <br />finds that said election was duly, p~oDerly and legally <br />called and carried on and conducted in all resl~ects and <br />in all particulars as required by law, and th~ ordinances <br />of said City, and it is hereby ordered that the same be <br />established of record. <br /> <br />The Board further finds that the i.roposition"Shall <br /> <br />Water Works Bonds be issued for $~3,000" Yes received <br />501 votes, and that the proposition "Shall ~ater Works <br />Bonds be issued for $63,000" No received 2S§ votes. <br /> <br /> The ~roposition "Shall Water Works Bonds be issued <br /> <br /> <br />
