In Re Paving West 5th St. Baker St. to Artesia In Re Notice for Sealed Proposals or Bids for Water Bonds & Fire Bonds provisions of the Vrooman Act. By the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Alderman, McFnee, Grubb and Noes, Trustee Greenleaf. On motion of Grubb, seconded b7 McPhee and carried, it is ordered that the City gngineer prepare plans and specifications for the paving of West Fifth Street from Baker Bt. to Artesia St., in accordance with the provisions for street paving as adopted by the State Highway Commission. And the City Attorney is directed to prepare Resolution of Intention for the paving of said Street incorporating therein the bond provisions of the Vrooman Act Passed and adopted b7 the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees, Alderman, ~reenleaf, MoPhee, Grubb and gy. NOGSj None. On motion of Alderman,seconded b7 Grubb and carried, it is order- ed that the former action c~the Board under date of Nov.~rd,1913, orderin~ the Olerk to advertise the Notice for sealed proposals or bids for Water Bonds and ~ire Bonds w~ rescinded, and the Clerk w~--= instructed to advertise "Notice ~6r Sealed Proposals or Bids" for municipal bonds of the Oit7 of 8ants Aha, California, as follows: "No, ice is hereby given, that the undersigned will receive up to the hour of S o'clock p.m.,of January S, 1914, sealed proposals or bids for Sixty-three thousand ($6~,000) Dollars, Water Works Bonds, of the Oity of Santa An,, County of Orange, S~ate of Oalifornia; consisting of eighty (80) bonds for the sum of Five l~undred ($SO0.O0} Dollars each, and forty (40) bonds for the sum of Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars each, and Forty (40) bonds for the sum of Two Rundred and Seventy-five ($275.00).Dollars each, serial in character, one-forti- eith part of .the principal of which shall be paid each year. 2ach of said bonds will be d~ied January 1, 1914, and shall bear interest at the rate of five'.:pe~ cent. per annum, interest payable semi- anr~ally, on .the first day of~uly and the first day of January,of each year afker theSr issue until paid.
