Im rs ~on3r~%~ h~t3hing On motion duly seconded and carried, the President of the ncard of Trustees is directed to take up the matter of re-numberin~ the houses in the city of San~a Aha, with committee and to make arranEe- monte ~or the oost ~f the same. The President of the ~oard of Trustees is authori- zed to appoint delegates to conventions to be held in OhicaEo and Washington city,provided however that said delegates pay their own expenses. # On motion of Grubb seconded by Greenleaf and carried the President of the ~oard is hereby authorized to purchase two city directories for the City Hall. The petitimn ef ~.S.Lewis et al, for the pavin~ of a twenty foot strip in the m~ddle portion of Zast ~irst street from the A.T.& S.F.Ry. Co. to the East ~ity Limits was presented. On motion of Grubb duly seconded and carried the Oity ~ngineer is directed to prepare plans and specifioations and the ~ity Attorney is direoted to pr31:are resolution of intention of paving said street, s~id resolution to incor~orate the bond provisione ~f the Vrooman Act and the pavement to have a four inch concrete base and a one and one- half inch asphaltic covering. # Ordinance No.§9~ An Ordinance to provide for city license was read and on motion referred to the Oity A~torney and the ~oard of Trustees as a committee of th~ whole. On motion .f Alderman duly seconded and carried it is ordered that consideration of this Ordinance be taken up at a regular adjourned meet~u8 of the Board to be held on November 2~d, 1914, at ?:~0 P.M. ~th a conm~ittee from the Merchants and Manufacturers Associa~ on. # On motion duly seconded and carried the Oity Water Department .is directed to manufacture at least two dozen reinforced ~oncrete hitching racks to be placed in suitable places in the city of Santa Ans. On motion of Alderman seconded by Greenleaf and carried, Trustees Grubb, Alderman and the Street Superintendent a~e named a committee to build hitch- in~ racks on the Southwest c~rner of Third and Broadway ,provided suitable arrangements can ~e made with the property owners.
