Present, Trustees Tubbe, McPhee, Maryatt, Vieel and Greenleaf, Absent, the 01erk, The Clerk being absent, President Visel appointed Trustee ?ubbs aa Clerk pro rem. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved on correction of item pertaining to improvement on Grand ·venue wherein the amount of fund donated by property owners was changed and corrected from $250 and $95 team work to $215 and $35 team work. Tel.Co. franchise tax In Re Home Tel.co. franchise tax In Re Petition, C.C.Langley Council, In Re Communication,Woman's of Defense In Re City Printing In Re Street Light, 6th & BristOl In Re Ordinance fixing tax rate A communication wac received from the Pac. Tel. Co. aa to franchise tax accompanied by · voucher for $~?1.41, the same was on motion, duly seconded and carried, referred to · committee consisting of Trustees Maryatt and Greenleaf. · communication wa~ received from the Home Tel.Co. an- closing eb~oher for $~.~2 for franchise tax covering the years 1~15 and 1~16, and on motion was referred to Trustees Maryatt and Greenla~f. The petition of C.C. Langley to have the gutters on La~y and St&fford sra. swept and cleaned, waa on motion referred to the Street Committee. A communication from the Woma~$~ committee, Orange County Council of Defense thanking the City ~ounoil for u~e of the Mayor's office for headquarters was on motion of Trustee MoPhee, received and pl&oed on file. # On report of the Committee, Trustees MoPhee and Maryatt, that Messrs. Flagg & Campbell were the lowest respectful ~ldders and on motion of Trustee MoPhee, seconded by Maryatt and carried, the contract wa~ awarded to them, provided that Clause No.ll aa to outside work not enumer·. ted in bid should be so expressed in contract. # A petition for · street light mt 6th and Bristol, wa~ on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, seconded by ?ubbs,denied. Ordinance No. 62?, an Ordinance f~xing the amount of mone anoertained to carry on the various departments of the City of Santa Anm, and fixing the rate of taxation for the year 1~17-1~, was read, and ~ pa~sed and adopted by the following vote to-wit:- Ayes, Trustees Tubbe, MoPhee, Maryatt, Greenleaf & Vlsel, Noes, None,
