Santa A~a, City Hall, August 12th, 191g. ?:~0 P.M. Board met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order Pres. Vlsel. Preener, Trustees Tubbs, McPhee, Greenleaf Absent, Trustee Maryatt. In Rs Request Social League. In Re Dip Crossings. In Re Jitney License. In Rs Mitchell Auto. Stage Company. In Re Application Tom Mussleman For Auto Stage. In Re Merchants Basket Picnic Band Concert. & the Clerk. A petition from the directors of the Social Service League aaking the Board to increase the appropriation for their work from the present sum of $25.00 per month to $100.00 per mohlh. The petition being endorsed by citizens and taxpayers and representatives of various civic organizatio On motion of Trustee McPhee duely seconded by Tuhbs and carried by the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Tuhbs McPhee, Greenleaf and Vlsel. Noes, Trustees none, Abenet Trustee Maryatt. It was decided to allow $?5.00 per month in addition to the $25.00 allowed at present, making $100,00 per month for such an &ppropriation. On motion of Trustee McPhee duely seconded hy Tuhbe that a committee be appointed with power to act in reference to ~ repairing the dip crosein~ at 3rd & Sycamore and 6th A Sycamore with a view to bettering other dip crossings throughout the city. Trustees MoPhee and Greenlsaf being appointed aa such committee. The application of the Crown Stage Company accompanied by bonds of $10,O00.00 each for three new Jitney licensee was on motion of Trustee Tubhe duely seconded by Greenleaf license granted and bonds referred to the President for approval. The application of the Mitchell Auto Stage Company for a permit to operate an auto stage line through the city was on motion of Trustee Tuhhs duely seconded by Greenleaf and carried. Permit was granted. In the matter of the application of Tom Mu~sleman to oper- ate an a~to stage line between,Santa Aha and E1 Toro , on motion of Trustee Tubha duely Seconded by Greenleaf and carried, M~nday, ~guat l~th, ?:~O P.M. was the &Ate set for hearing. # An invitation from M. L. Xeeler, ~hairman of the Merohan~ BaSket Picnic Committee inviting the Board and their families to be in &ttendanoe at the merchants picnic to be held August ~lst at Orange Comity Park and also requesting that the Band Concert be given' at the County Park instead of Birch Park on that date. On motion ol Trustee MoPhee duely seconded by Tubbe and carried the request was granted and the invitation &ooepted with thanks.
