On motion of Truetee Chapman duly second by Grsenleal and carried the requeit of the 5&iht Peters Evang. Lutheran Church to erect t4~emall sisne and placed in the parking at 4th and Van Nese and 5th and Van Ness in order to direct atrangere to the location of the Church was granted. S. M. l~aheas was before the Board in reference to closing one or two e~zeets during the Carnival. Not being sure to what streetl the matter was on motion o~ Trustee Dale duly eeoond by Chapman referred to a Committee. Trustees Greenleaf, Dale and Tubbe being appointed as euch Com=~ttee. # On motion of Trustee Tubhs duly second by Greenle~f and carried, Biner & Wood were ~ranted a permit to give boxing exhibition in the Orand Opera House under the eupervielon of Police and Fire Committee. On motion of Trustee Tuhbs duly second by Chapman and carried the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant on the Trsaau. for $?00.00 from the Advertising Fund in favor of the Chamber of Commerce for Advertising purposes. This being the date sst for hearin~ protests on the proposed lmpz~wlll~ the &ppro&ohes to the North Main Street Bridge. E. ,~. B&okman was before the Board and protested agaLnst the proposed improvement at this time, etating that the work could be done at lee expense when~ proposed lmprcve~nt on Ma~n St. from First to the City L~mite is being made. On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly second by Chapman and o&rried, the matter of paving the approaches to the Bridge L~ to he continued. On motion of Trustee Tuhbs duly second by Greenleaf and carried the Monthly Reports of the Sanitary Inspector, Building Inspector, Fire Chief, Recorder. and Marshall were referred to the Finance Committee.
