Bundren for permission to conduct a horse and mule market at the Oulver Stables~ 90~ E. St. wa8 granted on motion of Trustee Ohapman duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried. In the matter of the request of the Model Laumdry Os. for permission to extend a galvanize~ iron shed about 10 ft. , in order to cover a driveway. On motion of Trustee Dale duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the request was referred to the Building Inspe0tor. A communication from Sheriff W. A. Shay, of San Ber- nardlno ~n ~erenoe to the unemployed and hobo con- ditions, suggesting rock piles and more munleSpal imp- rovements to help take care of the unemployed. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Dale and carried, the communication was referred to the Police Committee. A protest signed by on W. 19th, against three property owners and residents the keeping of a large number cf chickens, at or nea~ 511 W. 19th St. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the matter was referred to the sanitary inspector. The Bond of C. F. Bates and W. with the Fidelity and ~asulty g. Martln for $500.00 0o. of N. Y. as surety. to do private contract cement sidewalk and curbing was on motion of T~ustee Tubbs duly seconded by Green~esf and carried, referred to the chair for approval. · communication from Horace Porter, Mayor of Riverside, in reference to l~e Colorado River Project and asking that this oity ~ representatives to attend a meeting in Los Angeles at noon, October lgth, 1921.
