On motion of <br /> Trustee Dale duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br /> the request was referred to the Building Inspe0tor. <br /> <br /> A communication from Sheriff W. A. Shay, of San Ber- <br /> nardlno ~n ~erenoe to the unemployed and hobo con- <br /> ditions, suggesting rock piles and more munleSpal imp- <br /> rovements to help take care of the unemployed. On <br /> motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Dale and <br /> carried, the communication was referred to the Police <br /> <br />Committee. <br /> <br />A protest signed by <br />on W. 19th, against <br /> <br />three property owners and residents <br />the keeping of a large number cf <br /> <br />chickens, at or nea~ 511 W. 19th St. On motion of <br />Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, <br />the matter was referred to the sanitary inspector. <br /> <br />The Bond of C. F. Bates and W. <br />with the Fidelity and ~asulty <br /> <br /> g. Martln for $500.00 <br /> <br />0o. of N. Y. as surety. <br /> <br />to do private contract cement sidewalk and curbing was <br />on motion of T~ustee Tubbs duly seconded by Green~esf <br />and carried, referred to the chair for approval. <br /> <br />· communication from Horace Porter, Mayor of Riverside, <br />in reference to l~e Colorado River Project and asking <br />that this oity ~ representatives to attend a meeting <br />in Los Angeles at noon, October lgth, 1921.
