On motion of Trustee <br />Chapman duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the re- <br />port was accepted and ordered filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the request of Babbit and <br />Philbrick for permission to close the three blocks <br />on Main Street from l·t to 4th Wednesday Evening, <br />August 3rd in order to give a free street dance, <br />was granted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by <br />Tubb8 and carried, the monthly report of the variou <br />City officers were referred to the finance com- <br />mittee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, the Clerk was i~tructed to draw war- <br />rant· on the Treasumer to cover the demands as <br />audited by finance committee, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Tubbe <br /> <br />and carried, ·tarring Au~lAet I·t the salary of <br />Murray, Secy. Water Dept. ·hall be S125.00 and Miss <br /> <br />Lee Patton ae Clerk, $100.O0 per month. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs dui7 seconded by Green- <br />leaf and carried, the permission granted for con- <br />ducting a pop corn ·tend at 4th and Main <br />revoked and Police Dept. instru~ed to ·o notify <br />the prop~iter of same. <br /> <br />A motion by Trustee ChaPman that a committee be <br />appointed to interview Mr. Hayden, Manager of the <br />Southern Co. Gas Company in reference to speeding <br />up the work of installing the Gas Main and con- <br />nections on N. Main St. The motion wa· duly second <br />ed by Trustee Dale and carried. Trustees Chapman <br />and Dale being appoimted aa ·uoh committee. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by <br />and carried, St. Supt.
