Instructed repair certain Street· A report from Sewer Supt. #ray that Pernel Bsxnet and F. W. Seccomb had completed their contracts for the construction of sewers in the City and recom- mended their a~ceptance. On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the re- port was accepted and ordered filed. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the request of Babbit and Philbrick for permission to close the three blocks on Main Street from l·t to 4th Wednesday Evening, August 3rd in order to give a free street dance, was granted. # On motion of trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubb8 and carried, the monthly report of the variou City officers were referred to the finance com- mittee. On motion of Trustee Tubbe duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the Clerk was i~tructed to draw war- rant· on the Treasumer to cover the demands as audited by finance committee, On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Tubbe and carried, ·tarring Au~lAet I·t the salary of Murray, Secy. Water Dept. ·hall be S125.00 and Miss Lee Patton ae Clerk, $100.O0 per month. On motion of Trustee Tubbs dui7 seconded by Green- leaf and carried, the permission granted for con- ducting a pop corn ·tend at 4th and Main revoked and Police Dept. instru~ed to ·o notify the prop~iter of same. A motion by Trustee ChaPman that a committee be appointed to interview Mr. Hayden, Manager of the Southern Co. Gas Company in reference to speeding up the work of installing the Gas Main and con- nections on N. Main St. The motion wa· duly second ed by Trustee Dale and carried. Trustees Chapman and Dale being appoimted aa ·uoh committee. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by and carried, St. Supt. Dahl was instructed to r epai: all the street· damaged for ·ewer construction.
