Brock, Horticultural <br />Conur~issioner, thanking the Board of Trustees for <br />contribution toward 56th annual convention of Fruit <br />Growers Association of Calif. was accepted and placed on <br />file. <br /> <br />On motion gf Trustee Chapman, seconded by McPhee and <br />carried, i~itation to take part in Armistice Day Parade <br />to be held at Orange, November llth, was accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by McPhee and <br />carried, Justus Birtcher was granted permission to install <br />service station at southeast corner 2nd and Spurgeon. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Killen and <br />carried, Robertson Electric Company were granted permissi, <br />to hang electric sign for Murphy's Taxi at ~12 N. Main St. <br />under proper supervision. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapmen, seconded by Neff and carrie~ <br />recommendation of Planning Commission with reference Maps <br />of Tracts Nos. ~84, 8V9 and 882 was accepted and fi]ed fo~ <br />future reference. <br /> <br />A petition was presented requesting paving of Highland <br />btreet from Flower to Bristol. On motion of Trustee Neff <br />seconded by Killen and carried,, petition was referred to <br />the Engineer for checking. <br /> <br />A petition requesting opening of Sycamore btreet from <br />15th to 1Vth St. was again presented to the Board with <br />additional signatures. On motion of Trustee McPhee, <br />seconded by Eillen and carried, action on petition was <br />deferred for one week. <br /> <br />An apnlication from C. M. Oodwy for water service ~n <br />Western Ave. near ~th St. was presented to the Board. <br />On wotion of Trustee Killen, seconded by McPhee and <br />carried application was granted and service ordered <br />installed. <br /> <br /> <br />
