On motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by Collier and carried, Mr. Mol'bee wac authorized to investigate matte: of securing better horses for street department. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by ¥cPhee md carried, F. L. Purinton was granted permission to paint 10 ft. no parking space ~ ~econd St. WJlEEEEII~ en- trance to Grand Central Yarner. # Dr. Woodward, representing Federal authorities working in connection with foot end mouth disease control appeared before the Board and discussed methods of p~e~tiou and control of the disease, and requested that inm~ediate steps be taken for the socking of all garbage before it ie hauled to sewer farm. On motion c~ Trustee Neff,. seconded by Chape~n md carried, St. Supt. was instructed to equip truck for cooking garbage! at earliest possible date a~d to oc~aply ae fully ae possible with reo, Aeets of Federal authorities. T~ie being the time and place fixed for the opening of bide ~ proposals for the work ordered done and improve- ment ordered made upon and along a portion of Edinger / Bt. ae briefly described in Resolution of Intention No. 1206, a nd the Board of T~ustees being duly convene~ ~n open session, proceeded to and did publicly open, examine and declare all bide received. Only on~ bid was received, being that of Wells and Bracelet, who bid ae follows: Item 1. T~e re,fading to a eubpgrade and the laying of five inch Concrete 1~ vement with belt finish wearing surface, co~plete with the furnishing of all neoeesar7 equipment, labor and w~terial on ~ estimate of 44,~47.0~ square feat for t.he aura of twenty tlu, ee cents per eqt~re foot. Item 2. The construction of concrete curb cceaplete with the ~u, niehing of all neceseal~ equipment, labol and material on an eltimate of 18.16 linear feet for the ~m of fiffty cents per linear foot.
