In Re <br />~esolution No. <br />Correcting and <br />assessment - E. <br />and W. 4th Ste. <br /> <br />1266 <br /> <br />Confiz~ming <br /> <br /> & W. 5th <br /> <br /> Lights. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />P~solution of Award ~126V <br /> <br />Edinger Street. <br /> <br />225 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, secondedby Neff and carried, <br />bids were taken under advisement for one week, to be <br />investigated by the Board ss a committee of the whole. <br /> <br />This being the day and hour set for the hearing of appeals <br />or protests of any person or persons interested in the work <br />improvement or assessment made therefor on E. & W. 5th St. <br />and W. 4th St. as per P~solution of Intention No. lO08,the <br />Clerk informed t~tBoard that one appeal had been filed, <br />being an appeal of the contractor, W. A. McNally, on the <br />ground that the said assessment had been erroneously made <br />for a s~m less tl{an the ~ount to which he is entitled u~ e: <br />his contract for said work, and praying the Board to order <br />the said assessment corrected. Upon consideration of this <br />appeal, sa~ was sustained and Supe~imte~dent of btreeta <br /> <br /> ~nstrudted to correct the assessment. No other objections <br /> made or <br />or appeals having been/filed , Trustee Neff introduced a <br /> <br />resolution correcting the assessment and con~z~ning ~uch <br />corrected assessment for the lighting system installed aa <br />per P~solution of Intention No. 1008 on E. & W. Sth St. and <br />W. 4th Sts. <br /> <br /> The re$1ution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br />designated P~solution No. 1~8~ and pas,ed by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Trustees Oeo. McPhee, E.B.Oollier, NAT H. Neff~ <br /> J.W .Tubbs. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustee C.H.Chapman. <br /> <br />This being the time and ~lsce fixed for the opening of <br />bids or proposals for the work ordered done and improvement <br />ordered made upon and ~ong a portion of Edinger ~treet <br />as briefly described in Resolution of Intention No. 120~, <br />and the Board of Trustees being duly convened in open seeai~ <br />proceeded to and did publicly open, examine and declare all <br />bids received. Only one bid was received, being that of <br />B.R. Ford, who bid as follows: <br /> <br /> Item 1. ~e regra~ ng to a subgrade a~d the laying of <br />five (~) inch concrete pavement with belt finish wearing <br />surface, complete with the furnishdng of all necessary equi! <br />ment, labor and material on an estimate of 44,84V.0~ s~are <br />feet for the sum of twenty-~ne cents ($0.21) per squsr~ fool <br /> <br /> Item 2. Ahe constr~tion of concrete c~b, complete with <br />the furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and materi~ <br />on an estimate of 1~.1~ linear feet for the sum of seventy- <br />five cents per linear foot. <br /> <br /> Item ~. The trenching, furnishing an~ laying of twelve <br />(12) four (4) inch house branch sewers from the main sewer <br />to the curb llne complete with the furnishing of all <br />necessary equipment, labor and mat~al on an estimate of <br />20A linear feet for the sum of sixty-five cents per linear <br />foot, <br /> <br />Noes: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> <br />
