On motion of Trustee ~eff, seconded by McPhee and carried, City Attorney end Engineer were instructed to ~roceed w~th steps for paving of West 5th Street from Artesia to Pacific Electric right of way to a with of AO ft. being an additional ten feet on each side of present pavement. Mr. Cochems was before the Board requesting release of Lot No. 8 of Map Tract No. 474 reserved pen~ng condemnation of Louise Street. On motion of Trustee Neff, seconded by Chapnmnoaed carried the B~rd expressed approval of release of lot and the matter was referred to t~e City Attorney for necesear2 acti¢~. ~is b~'ng t~e ti~e and rlace fixed and set ~rth fo~ the opening of bids or p~posals for the improvement of portions of Welllngt~n Avenue and Lac2 Street, as briefly described in Resolution o~ Intention and the Board of Trustees being da ly convened in oper session, p~ceeded to open, examine and declare all sealed proposals recei~d, as follows: Item 1. The gra~ng to a subpgrade and laying of a five ($) inch asphaltic concrete pavement complete with the furnishing of ali necessary equipment, labox and material on an eatirmte of 46,041.8~ ~quare feet.i Item 2. The construction of concrete curb ~ mplete with the furnishing of all neoessar~ e~ipment, labo~ and material on an estimate of ~lt~er feet. Item ~.
