A representative of Dr. Johnston of Anaheim, who owns service station at Main and Edinger Streets was before the Board w~th reference to moving pole adjacent h~s ~roDerty, which now blocks the d flyaway. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Goods and carried, s Committee was appointed to investigate a~d to confer w~th Ci~F Attorney regavd~ ordinance regulatinR pole lines: Trustees Goods, McPhee and Mr. Neff were appointed as such Committe with ~ower to Act. ~r. So,don of tbs Insight Number Co. was before tbs Board w~th reference to house numbering errors. He presented Mr. Smith, formerly with Los Angeles City Department, who spoke regarding erroneous house numbering and presents, copies of Los Angeles Ordinances covering the question. Copies of the ordinances were filed with the Engineer for discussion with the City Attorney. On motion of Trus~;ee C~an, seconded by Goods and carried, request of Mr. O'Brien for water for trees in parking on S. Van Ness and S.~o~s Streets was denied. Mr. C. O. Wh'te of 822 East Fourth Street a~neared before the Board ~nd requested that two avacsdo trees in harking at that location be allowed to remain ,nd not removed by ~he St. Dept. On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Chapman ~nd carried, r~quest was denied. . On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by ~oode and carrie the City Attorney was instructe~ to take necessary ste~ to place the City of Santa Aaa back on the ~ity Assessor plan. On motion Trustee Chapman was granted Dermission for thirty days. On motion of Trustee McPhes, carried, application of T. J. of Trustee Goods, seconded by Collier and carrie, to leave the state seconded by Collier and Atchley for permission to move house from 933 West Highland to a point outsite the City was referred to the Engineer w~th ~ower to act. ' Petition for the installation of ornamental street lights on Main St. from let to 6th was brought before the Board after having been checked by the ~ngineer. ~tit~om cover 65.34 % of the property involved and calls for tbs instaila tion of Marbelite standards. On motion of Trustee Collier seconded bF Ooode and carried, same wes laid over for one week.
