Fourth Street under the Southern Paci- <br /> Planning Commiss! <br />fic and Santa Fe Railroads. On recommendation/and <br /> <br />motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goods and car- <br />tied, the City Attorney and Engineer were instructed <br />to prepare plans and specifications for a two-traffic <br />subway on E. Fourth Street and also to create an <br />assessment district to finance subway. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on <br />motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Goods and carried <br />the City Attorney was instructed to prepare condemna- <br />tion proceedings for making First Street an eighty <br />foot street from Main to the east city limits and to <br />take steps to establish a set back linc on First <br />Street from Main to the west city limits with a view <br />to widening W. First Street to an eighty foot street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Kelly and car. <br />tied, the bond of J.W. Patterson for private contract <br />for Cement Sidewalk and Curbing was referred to the <br />Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goods and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants <br />in favor of M. Witt, et al, for refund on East and <br />West Third Street Lighting assessments. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Knox, seconded by Goods and car- <br />ried, the applications of W.S. Decker, S.I. Preble, <br />Hugh Park and R.R. Lutes for appointment aS Buildlug <br />Inspector of the City of Santa Ana, were referred to <br />the City Manager to report back in one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Knox and <br />carried, the report, on property of the City of Santa <br />Ana, made by the Appraisal Board was accepted and <br />ordered placed on file and the City Manager instructs. <br />to write letter of a~preciation for report and also <br />give recommendation of sale of certain pieces of pro- <br />pert y. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the Pacific Electric Company were given per- <br />mission to re-route ~heir motor bus lines as follows <br /> <br />Line No. 1. (Eastbound) Commencing at 4th and Main, <br />East on Fourth to Lacy Street, South on Lacy to Firs' <br />East on First to Mab~ry - returning reverse of thle <br />route to Fourth and a[n Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
