Petroleum Corp. <br /> <br />Special Permit. <br /> <br />/! <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids <br /> <br />Water Pipe <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Reso No. 1860 <br /> <br />Adopt Plans & Spec. <br /> <br />Towner St. from 8th ~o 10th. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resolution of Award <br /> <br />No. 1861 - Wilshire Lights. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Knox and car- <br />ried, the application of ~e California Petroleum Cor- <br />poration for permit under special uses to erect a ser- <br />vice station on the northwest corner of Seventeenth and <br />Broadway, was referred to the Planning Commission. The <br />Clerk was instructed to post property for hearing pro- <br />tests before the City Council and the Planning Comuis- <br />sion, January 3rd, 1927. <br /> <br />This being the time and place to which action was de- <br />ferred on the bids or proposals on cast iron pipe for <br />the Water Department, and the City Council being in <br />open session awarded the contract to the American Cast <br /> <br />Iron Pipe Company as follows: <br /> Trench <br /> <br />Class 150 DeLavaud <br />Fittings <br /> <br />$91V3.00 Class B - $7977.10 Side <br /> 423.69 f.o.b. Wilmington. <br /> <br />A resolution adopting plans and specifications for the <br /> <br />improvement to be made upon and along Towner Street <br /> <br />from the center line of Eighth Street to the center <br /> <br />line of Tenth Street, was filed, read, considered, <br /> <br />designated Resolution No. 1860 and passed by the follow <br /> <br />ing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.G. Knox, Stanley E. <br /> Goode, F. L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees W.J~Kelly. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of <br /> <br />bids or proposals for the work ordered done and im- <br /> <br />provement made upon and along a district known as the <br /> <br />Wilshire Lighting District No. 150 and briefly describe~ <br /> <br />in Resolution of Intention No. 1842 and ordered done <br /> <br />by Resolution No. 1886, and the City Council being <br /> <br />duly convened in open session proceeded to and did pub- <br /> <br />licly open, 'examine and declare all bids received as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Item No. 1. The furnishing and installing, upon and <br />along all portions of streets upon which work is speci- <br />fied to be done under ~he Specifications For Asses~nent <br />District No. 150, and as indicated on the Plans For <br />Assessment District No. 180, of all necessary conduits, <br />cables, ground connections and the making of all neces- <br />sary connections to the ~ransformer vault and the re- <br />pair and replacement of all pavement, sidewalk, or curb <br />cut or damaged during construction, complete with the <br />furnishing of all necessary equipment, labor and mater- <br />ial for the sum of complete. <br />Item No. 2. The fuhnishing,-~onstructing and install- <br />ing of all necessary concrete foundations, anchor bolts <br />ornamental single lighting standards, wiring, lamps, <br />globes, canopies, and all other necessary items above <br />ground, complete with the furnishing of all necessary <br />equipment, labor and material for the sum of <br />per standard complete. <br /> Item 1.
