R~ Wells. <br /> <br />¸77 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br /> <br />ried, the reports of the City Officers for the month of <br />August were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by McBride and car. <br />rted, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants ac <br />to demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by McBride and car <br />tied, the property at the northwest corner of Fairview <br />and Main Street was ordered posted for special uses in <br />accordance with the application of Roy E. Langley to <br />erect a super service station and the hearing date was <br />set September 10th, 1929. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the property known as Lot 15, Block F of Heninger' <br />Addition was ordered posted for special uses in compli- <br />ance with the application of the Santa Ana City Schools <br />for the erection of a church building and the hearing <br />date was set September 10th, 1929. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the request of the Board of Education was granted <br />to purchase the following described properties: <br /> <br /> Lots l, 2, and 3, Block 6 of the Pacific Electric <br /> Subdivision; also lA, 15 and 18. <br /> South 1/2 of Lot 7 Morse Villa Tract. <br /> All of Lot $ Morse Villa Tract except the south 30 fee <br /> The South 222.8 feet of Lot 9, except the South 30 <br /> <br />of the Morse Villa Tract. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chaney, <br /> <br />seconded by Goode and car- <br /> the Council <br /> <br />ried, a committee was appointed,~s a whole,to investigat~ <br />conditions for the collecting and ~toring of newspapers <br />at the home of John Maher, 415 E.
