McBride, W.J. Kelly, <br />Homer C. Chsney, Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Minutes of meetings of October 21st and 28th <br /> approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />S.A. Jr.College Longfellows. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Wayne Goble. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Signs. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition <br /> <br />Subway--E. 1st St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Monthly Reports. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrants. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Leave of Absence <br /> <br />F. Purinton. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br /> ried, the communication from the So~ta Ana Junior Colleg~ <br /> Longfellows with reference to height of awnings in the <br /> business district, was referred to the Building Inspec- <br /> tor for investigation and enforcement of ordinance now <br /> in effect. <br /> <br /> On motion cf Trustee Kelly, seconded by Chaney and car- <br /> tied, the communication from Wayne Goble giving reasons <br /> why E1 Portal Boulevard should not be improved and con- <br /> structed at the present time, was accepted and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chaney, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, applications of Electrical Contractors to hang <br /> electric signs were granted under supervision of the <br /> Electrical Inspector to the following: <br /> <br /> Benford Electric Motor Service 1330 ~V. 5th St. <br /> Wingood Drug Company 220 E. 4th St. <br /> Fox Broadway Theatre 420 N. Broadway <br /> Them Kollias 414 E. 4th St. <br /> <br />A petition signed by property owners on East First Street <br /> <br />requesting complete separation of grades on East First <br />Street crossing the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe Rail- <br />road. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode <br />and carried, the petition was referred to the Engineer <br />for checking and report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the monthly reports of the City Officers were <br />referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants covering <br />demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, Mayor F.L. Purinton was granted a week,s leave of <br />absence from the State. <br /> <br /> <br />
