Diagram <br /> <br />Ross Street & Santa Clara Ave. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Declaring Result <br /> <br />Election--Neat Orange Road Addn. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids on <br />water pump according to plans and specifications on file <br />in the Water Superintendent's office. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Mayor was instructed to employ an attorney to <br />defend the Council in a suit filed by Jules W. Markel <br />temporarily restraining the Council from taking action <br />relative to the recall petition and the calling of a re- <br />call election for successors to me~bers of the City Counc 1. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Council proceeded to canvass the returns of the <br />Annexation Election of the West Orange Road Addition to <br />the City of Santa Ana, being the time proVided for its <br />regular meeting next after the expiration of three days <br />from and after the date of said eleCtion held December <br />1Vth, 1929, as required by law. There was one election <br />precinct established and provided for the holding of said <br />special election and the whole number of votes cast on <br />said proposition in the territory to be annexed as afore- <br />said was 25 and the number of votes cast therein in favor <br />of annexation was 19, and the number of votes cast <br />against annexation was 6, and the City Council finds that <br />as a result of said election the proposition of annexing <br />said territory to the City of Santa Aha was favorably <br />voted upon. <br /> <br />A resolution was introduced approving assessment diagram <br />covering the improvement in, on and along Ross Street and <br />Santa Clara Avenue, in accordance with Resolution of <br />Intention No. 2113. The resolution was ordered filed, <br />read, designated Resolution No. 215A and passed by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, W.J. Kelly, ~tanley E. <br /> Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees Homer C. Chancy. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance was introduced declaring result of the <br /> special election held December 17th, 1929, for the Annexa <br /> tion of the West Orange Road Addition to the City of Sant~ <br /> Aha, showing the proposition was favorably voted upon and <br /> said territory therein described shall become a part of <br /> the City of S~ta Aha and be incorporated in said City. <br /> The ordinance was read, considered and referred back to <br /> <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
