E. <br /> <br />seconded by McBride and car- <br />~nison, et al, to condemn <br /> <br />the right-of-way of the Pacific Electric Railway Company <br />from the intersection of W. Fourth and Artesia Streets <br />to W. Fifth Street for the purpose of street improve- <br />ments, was referred to the City Manager to report back <br />in two weeks. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the bond of James P. Thompson for Cement Sidewalk <br />and Curbing was referred to the Chair for approval or <br />disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant in <br />amount of $100.00 from the Advertising Fund in favor of <br />Mason Yould, Manager, for expenses of Bowling Team to <br />enter bowling tournament. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chancy and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for gaoltne <br />for the coming year. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the application of A. C. Valdez in behalf of the <br />Full Gospel Church for permission to pitch a Gospel Tent <br />on the Enion Pacific right-of-way facing on Fourth Streel <br />was granted under supervision of the Sanitary Inspector. <br /> <br />This being the time and place set forth in Resolution <br />of Intention No. 9.072 to order the work done and improve- <br />ment made upon and along a portion of North Sycamore <br />Street, between the South line of Washington Avenue and <br />the center line of Seventeenth Street, and the City <br />Council being duly convened in open session, proceeded <br />to hear and pass upon all protests presented. <br /> <br />No owner of property liable to be assessed for said <br />work made written protest or any protest against the <br />proposed work or against the extent of the district to <br />be assessed therefor and no person appearing to protest <br />or object or show any cause why the improvement should <br />not be carried out in accordance with Resolution of In- <br />tention No. 2072, the City Council deemed that it had <br />acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement. <br /> <br /> <br />
