Wakeham to erect a bungalow <br /> court at 905-0V Orange Avenue, was referred to the <br /> Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by Goode and car- <br /> ried, the application of H. T. Foust to hang Santa Ana <br /> Gymnasium banner at 211E. Fourth Street, was denied. <br /> <br /> 6ral and written protests were presented against the <br /> rezoning of property at the northwest corner of Broadway <br /> and Seventeenth Street to neighborhood business. Messrs <br /> Clyde Dow~ing, T.E. Stephenson, Simon and Dr. J.I.Clark <br /> voiced their objections to rezoning property ~ Mr.R.G. <br /> Tuthill. On motion of Tr~Astee Goods, seconded by Kelly <br /> and carried, the application was referred to the Planni <br /> Commission for recomendation. On motion of Trustee <br /> Goods, secc~ded by Kelly and carried, the recommendation <br /> of the Planning Commission was accepted and the applica- <br /> tion of R.G.Tuthill'was denied and protests sustained. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Chancy and car- <br /> ried, the application of Ernest F. Allan to remodel <br /> house at 601 Cypress Avenue into a s~ucco structure of <br /> four apartments, was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chancy, seconded by Goods and car- <br /> ried, the application of Tubach, Lambert and Was for <br /> permit to erect a service station on the northwest cor- <br /> ner of Second a~d Sycamore, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the petition of property owners for overhead <br />street lights on N. Patton Street between Washington and <br />Fifteenth, was referred to the Manager to report back <br />~in one week. <br /> <br /> Petitions signed by qualified electors,for the calling <br /> of a special election for the annexation of territory <br /> lying adjacent to the City of Santa Aha on the south, <br /> were on motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Chancy and <br /> carried, referred to the Clerk for checking to report <br /> back in one week. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Chancy and car- <br /> ried~ the Clerk was instructed to draw warrant in amoun~ <br /> of $50.48 in favor of W.C.
