No. 2212 <br /> <br />Awa~d--Shelton Street. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />O~dinance No. 9~A~ <br /> <br />Amending Water Ordinance. <br /> <br />at the S,--mcr T~aining Camp, was taken under advisement <br />for one week, <br /> <br />On motion of Trtmtee McBride, seconded by Goods and car- <br />ried, the Orar~e County Health Department Was: instructed <br />to give their recommendations in writing relative te <br />Health conditions existing in the F~ench Buildir~ at the <br />northeast corner of Fourth and Main Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Sutton, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign <br />with W. P. Warden covering the construction of un electric <br />sign at his place of business, 702 N. Main Street, a por- <br />tion of which sign extends over the ten foot set-back <br />line established along North Main Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Button, seconded by Goods and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids on <br />a new sedan car, price not to exceed $800.00, to be used <br />by the Fire Department. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the opening of <br />bids o~ proposals for the work ordered done and improve- <br />ment made upon and along a portion of Shelton Street, <br />First Street, Walnut Street and Pine Street, according to <br />Resolution of Intention No. 2201, and the City Council <br />being duly convened in open session p~oceeded to and did <br />publicly open, examine and declare all bids received as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Osborn Company <br />Atkinson & Reish <br />SteeleFinley <br />Oriffith Company <br />Hollywood Paving Company <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~oOde, <br /> <br /> Total <br />$1 T .5o <br /> 21,845.74 <br /> 19,095.67 <br /> 18,664.14 <br /> 17,929.75 <br /> <br />seconded by McBride and car- <br /> <br />tied, the bids were referred to the City Engineer for <br />checking to report back at this meeting. Following the <br />report, the City Council awarded the contract to the <br />Hollywood Paving Company as the lowest responsible bidder <br />therefor. A resolution was introduced awarding the con- <br />tract to the Hollywood Paving Company. The resolution <br />was cedered filed, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 2212 and passed by the following vote.: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees ~.L. McBride, B.O.
