McBride, E.G. Warner, <br />Paul B. Witmer, A.C. Hasenjaeger, John Knox. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />Minutes of meeting of December 7th approved <br /> as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />W. C. Crosb~. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Wage Scale <br /> <br />Pacific Coast Labor Bureau. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />American Legion Auxiliary. <br /> <br />In lie <br /> <br />Resolution <br /> <br />Carpenters & Joiners. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Proposal to <br /> <br />Salvage City Dump. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric §lEns. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, <br />carried, the application of W. C. <br /> <br />seconded by Warner and <br />Crosby for permission <br /> <br />to conduct the Star Taxicab Company at 30~ Spurgeon <br />Street was referred to the Attorney for investigation. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~gcBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the communication of the Pacific Coast Labor <br />Bureau setting forth the minim~nn wage scale to be paid <br />by contractors for public work, was accepted and filed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by Warner end car- <br />ried, the communication from the American Legion Au×iliaz <br />with reference to soliciting the s~le of coupon books, <br />was referred to a committee to report back. Trustee <br />Hasenjaeger and the City Attorney appointed as committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride~ seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried~ the resolution adopted by the United Brotherhood <br />of Carpenters and Joiners of America reducing their wage <br />scale to ~6.00 per day for carpenters, was accepted and <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by ~cBride and car- <br />riod, the proposal of Charles A. Peddicord to salvage the <br />city dump for a period of three years and giving twenty- <br />five per cent of the profit to the Co~,~unlty Chest or <br />some welfare society, was referred to Trustee Hasenjaeger <br />with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenjaeEer and <br />carried, applications of Gtlbert-Weston-Stearns Inc. to <br />hang electric sign for Sawyers White Garage at 121 E. <br />Fifth Street and. of Santa Aha Electric Company to hang <br />electric sign for New Method Cleaners at llOE. First <br />Street, were granted under supervision of the Electrical <br />Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
