No. 23~5 <br /> <br />Award---W. l?th St. <br /> <br />433 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids <br />on automotive equipment according to specifications on <br />file in the Engineer's office. <br /> <br />0~ motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by V~arner and car- <br />ried, E. D. Yost and Mrs. Fred Forgy were appointed mem- <br />bers of the Planning Commission to fill the vacancies. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the matter of employing day laborers to sweep the <br />streets of the City instead of street sweepers, was re- <br />ferred to T?ustee Hasenjaeger With power to act. <br /> <br />This being the time and place Set forth in Resolution of. <br />Intention No. 2308 that the public interest and convenien¢ <br />requires the work hereinafter described, and the City <br />Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby order the follow- <br />ing work to be done and improvement made in the City of <br />Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br /> That the following alley in said City of Santa Ana~be <br /> closed up and abandoned, to-wit: <br /> A certain twelve (12) foot slley running Easterly and <br />Westerly through Tract No. 210, from Shelton Street to <br />Baker Street, as per Map d~ such Tract recorded in Book <br />12, Page ~l, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange Count~ <br />California, said Tract b,ing also registered l~nd as per <br />Certificate No. 1801 in Case No. 12. <br /> <br />No person appearing to protest or object to the work as <br />set forth in Resolution No. 2308 and no written protests <br />having been filed, a resolution was introduced ordering <br />the improvement. The resolution was ordered filed, read, <br />~considered, designated Resolution Ordering Improvement <br />No. 2Z24 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. W~rner, Paul B. Witmez <br /> A.C. Hasenjaeger, Jo~hn Knox. <br /> <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, <br /> <br />This being <br /> <br /> the time and olace to which action on the bids <br />or proposals for the work and improvement to be made on <br />portions of Seventeenth, Main, Broadway, Durant, Ross, <br />Greenleaf, Flowe~ Eucalyptus, Eighteenth, Nineteenth <br />Street and a certain alley, as briefly described in Reso- <br />lution of Intention No. 2316, was deferred and the City <br />Council being in open, session, it was determined after <br />checking that the bid of Kovacevtcb snd Price Incorporate~ <br />was the lowest bid submitted. On motion of Trustee <br />Hasenjaeger, seconded by.McBride and carried, contract fei <br />the improvement and work to be done on Seventeenth Street <br />and others, wee awarded to Kovecevich and Price, Inc., at <br /> <br /> <br />
