Main Street. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application of Harry H. Mann for a permit to conduct a <br /> shooting gallery at 406 E. Fourth Street, was referred to the <br /> Police Commissioner and Chief with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee from the <br />Council to coordinate with the Planning Commission and Fores- <br />try Board with reference to the erection of a band stand and <br />rest rooms On the west side in the center of Birch Park and <br />the employment of an architect to meet with the committee to <br />submit proper plans for a project under W.P.A. Trustees Smith <br />Bruns and Penn were appointed as the committee. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />The committee appointed to investigate the petition to grant <br />to Mrs. William Freidinger of 902 S. Birch Street, a license <br />to sell flowers from said address, was granted more time by <br />the Chair. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Brtuus and carried, <br />the Clerk was directed to write a letter of thanks to the <br />Reid Motor Company for its courtesy in furnishing an automo- <br />bile to the City Council during the Armistice Day Parade in <br />Anaheim. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />Trustee Smith was instructed to invite Lieutenant Governor <br /> <br />Hatfield as principal speaker to the dedication ceremonies <br /> <br />of the new City Hall. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />a Resolution was adopted commending Chief of Police Floyd W. <br />Howard and the men of his department for their smart appear- <br />ance and the efficient way in which they performed their <br />duties at the Armistice Day Parade in Anaheim. Their deport- <br />ment marked them as a well trained group with unsurpassed <br />morale and commanded the admiration of officials and the <br />Santa Aha people in attendance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> <br />Trustee Smith was instructed to enter into an escrow agreemen~ <br /> <br />with Harold L. ~t~ylen and Vera C. Maylen, his wife, for the <br /> <br />purchase of the following described property for use of <br />Santiago Creek Channel and for Park purposes: <br /> <br /> <br />
