EESOLUTION NO. 54-140 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPO~ ANNEXATION TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINNABI','~u TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEBEIN AND DESIGNA'~'.:u "SADD ANNE]f', AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THEBETO WHEItEAS, the owners of certain real property hereinbelow described have filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of ~anta Ana, Cslifornia annex said real property, stating that the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; and WHEREAS, the Boundary Comm~ ssion of Orange County, California bas approved the description of said real property as herein set out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Aha has approved the annexation of said territory; NOW~ i~f~EF0~E~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all that certain territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters residing in it on August 12, 1954, the date when said petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as -' Being a portion of the South 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 10, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S.B.B.&M. Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of the City of Santa Aha with the Southerly line of said Section 10, said point of intersection being in the center line of First Street and distant 1224.29 ft. westerly from the Southeast corner of said Section 10; thence running North 23° 49' 30" East along the said Westerly line of the City of Santa Aha, 71-3.56 ft. to a point; thence North 89© 14'03" West, 1070 ft., more or less, to a point in the Easterly boundary of the 400 ft. right of way for the Santa ADa River channel; thence Southwesterly along said Easterly boundary of the Santa Ama River channel to a point in the center line of First Street; thence East along said center line of First Street, 1038.54 ft. to the point of beginning. That the ~ouncil hereby designates "SADD ANNEX" as an appropriate name fo~ said annexation. That said City Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School District,
