No. ~567 <br /> <br />Authorizing the <br /> <br />Cancellation of Taxes. <br /> <br /> On motion of T~ustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants numbering from <br /> 2849 to 5106 inclusive, according to demands audited by the <br /> Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br /> in and~ the application of Blanding Nurseries to move their <br /> business from 1348 S. Main Street to 1504-20 S. Main Street <br /> was unnecessary and regarding the Sycamore Street frontage <br /> of five lots in the 1300 block to be used for growing plants <br /> trees, and flowers, the Clerk was instructed to issue the <br /> necessary permit covering the application, pending the effec. <br /> tire date of the ordinance now under preparation. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> The recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br /> in and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and <br /> carried, the property described as metes and bounds 70 feet <br /> by ll7 feet fronting on the west side of Lowell Street betwee <br /> Eighth and Tenth Street was ordered posted for special use <br /> and the hearing date set June 20th, 1938 at 7:50 P.M., in <br /> accordance with the application of D. R. Dickson to erect <br /> a duplex. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br /> in and the zone on property described as the West 200 feet of <br /> that certain l0 acre parcel of land conveyed to the County of <br /> Orange by deed recorded in Book 455, page ~16, of Deeds, reco~ <br /> of said County, said parcel is bounded on the west by Dean's <br /> <br /> Addition and on the southby Fruit Street, fronting on Fruit <br /> <br /> Street between Lincoln and Grand Avenue, was ordered changed <br /> <br /> from single family residence zone to heavy -industrial zone, <br /> <br />in accordance with the Application of the County of Orange to <br />erect a building for storage of election equipment and mater- <br />ial. The City Attorney was instructed to prepare the neces- <br />sary ordinance. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trultee Penn,seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Rssolution authorizing the cancellation of taxes on <br /> City owned property" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2567 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, <br /> <br />Noes, <br /> <br />Trustees Plummet W.
