Main Stree <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the communication of the Knights of Columbus expressing grati <br /> rude for the use of Santiago Park for their barbeque, was <br /> received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carrie~, <br /> the recommendation of Lieut. Hershey of the Traffic Dept. <br /> that the two hour parking zone be extended to cover North <br /> Sycamore Street between Church and Tenth on both sides of the <br /> street and Cypress Avenue between First and Walnut on both <br /> sides, was approved and referred to the City Attorney to <br /> prepare the necessary Resolution. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Brums, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of Don Abbott for appointment as special <br />police officer without pay while employed as relief watchman <br />at the High School, was granted on recommendation of the Chlel <br />of Police. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the applications of James A. Randel and C. D. Richards for <br />appointments as special police officers without pay, were <br />referred to the Chief of Police for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion cf Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Electrical Inspector was approved <br />and the application of the Powell Neon Sign Company to hang <br />an electric sign for Dr. Ralph Murane at 513 N.
