Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Noes, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br /> <br /> seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1052, entitled 'An <br /> Ordinance establishing water rates in the City of Santa <br /> Ana, prescribing rules and regulations governing consump- <br /> tion of water and fixing a penalty for the violation <br /> thereof, and repealingOrdinanoes in conflict herewith', <br /> and providing ~or temporary increase in water rates" <br /> <br />was introducted, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br />in and the property described as Lots I and 2, Tract No.~55, <br />wes ordered posted for special use and the Joint hearing date <br />set October 3rd, 1938, in accordance with the application of <br />Harlowe R. Billingsley to erect a service station. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br />in and the application of A. M. Drumm to erect a duplex on <br />McFadden Street between Maple and Oak, legal description <br />being the W. 48 feet of the East 17~ feet of the South 126 <br />feet of Lot 2, of McFadden Wilson Tract, was granted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred <br /> in and the application of Verna E. Wells to erect a duplex <br /> on Halladay Street between Wakeham and Beverly, legal des- <br /> cription being Lot 36, ffract No. 6lA,was granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion o: <br /> Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, action upon <br /> the application of Wm. Iverson for change in zone from single <br /> family residence to courts and apartments on Parton Street <br /> between 10th and Washington, was delayed pending receipt of <br /> a set of plans an~ speciflaations covering proposed building. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of ~rustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the City Council adjourned to Monday, September 26th, 1938, <br /> at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> <br />
