<br />the application of Jesse Lawrence Beeler, Jr., to drive a
<br />taxicab for the White Cab Company, was denied for the reason
<br />that he has not appeared before the Taxicab Commission and
<br />his application has been on file over three weeks.

<br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Kelsey and carried,
<br />the communication of Floyd W. Howard giving notice that he
<br />reported for duty as Sergeant on the Santa Ana Police Depart-
<br />ment on the day of August 16th, 1939, was referred to the
<br />Civil Service Commission for final disposition.

<br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried,
<br />
<br />a Resolution Accepting Quit-claim Deeds to certain property
<br />located in Tracts 270, Fisher Tract, Goldsmith's Addition to
<br />Santa Aha, 252, 289 531, 532, 638, 863 and McFadden-Wilson,
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2703 and
<br />passed by the following vote:
