Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and <br />each member of the City Council having received a <br />copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes <br />of June 3rd, 1940, was dispensed with ~nd approved <br />on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Kelsey and <br />carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request of <br /> <br />a.A. Community Chest. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />a.A. City Schools. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the request of the Santa Aha Community Chest to hold its <br />regular fall campaign the week of October 14th, 1940, was <br />granted and the organization ordered notified of the Council',. <br />action. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Brmns and carried, <br />the communication of Geo. D. Newcom, Secretary of the Santa <br />Aha City Schools, with copy of letter to the State Board of <br />Equalization attached, with reference to the issuance of a <br />permit for the sale of liquor at the southwest corner of Fir' <br />and Pacific Streets, was referred to the Department of Public <br />Safety an* Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> <br />
