In 5s <br />Ord. declaring <br />Intention to vacate <br />portions of 18th St., <br />Washington & <br />Poinsettia <br /> <br />In Re <br />Casa de Santa Ana <br />condition sinks <br />and trays <br /> <br />Xn R~ <br />Bonds & <br />Subdivisions <br /> <br />In Re <br />Improve. alley <br />btn Flower & <br />Patton; 200 ft. <br />So. of 17th St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Pool Hall <br />Application <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />H.C.Myers <br /> <br />Ma~yor o~f the Ci~of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, <br /> <br />seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br /> <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana. <br />declaring its intention as such City to <br />vacate portions of lath Street, Washington, <br />and Poinsettia Street~, within said City, <br />describing those portions proposed to be <br />vacated and fixing the time and place for <br />hearing of all persons interested in or <br />objecting to the proposed vacation" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second <br /> <br />reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, <br /> <br />report of the committee was <br /> <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />accepted for installation of sinks <br /> <br />at Casa de Santa Ana; cost to be borne by the Federal Government. <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />Attorney was authorized to prepare a letter of instruction <br />clarifying legal procedure in connection with releasing of bonds, <br />acceptance of maps, alleys, subdivisions, etc., and such p2ocedure <br />to be followed to the letter. <br /> <br />Communication was read from City Engineer advising that improve- <br />ments on the alley running east and west between Flower and <br />Streets, 200 feet south of 17th Street, have been completed and <br />on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />check of George Stearns and'Etta Mae Stearns, dba Alamo Developme~ <br />Co., in the amount of $756.00 was ordered released~ <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Mand <br />seconded by Reed and carried, Antonta Mendes was granted permis <br /> <br />to conduct a pool hall at 2309 South Main Street. <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />communication from Harry G. Myers, 809 No. Artesia St., ~ <br />operation of rabbit business in the neighborhood, was received <br /> <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, <br /> <br />City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> <br /> <br />
