<br />On motion of Trustee chandler, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />petition signed by Jeanne M. Larsen et al to abandon a 15 foot
<br />alley running north and south between Lots i to 8, both inclusive,
<br />on the west, and Lots 9 to 16, both inclusive, on the east,
<br />between Main and Cypress running from Goetz Avenue, as shown on
<br />Map of Tract No. 189, was referred to Planning Commission for
<br />recommendation and report back.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Cha~ler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />the monthly reports of the Building Department and Judge's office,
<br />
<br />for month of February, 1948, were received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />monthly demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved
<br />and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering
<br />2777 to 3101 inclusive.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br />
<br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute lease between City of
<br />Santa Ana and County of Orange covering leasing of lotmge and
<br />committee room of the Community Center Clubhouse, for a period
<br />of one year commencing March 1st, 1945, at rental of $20.00 per
<br />month, for the Military Order of Purple Heart.
<br />
<br />Recommendation of the Planning Commission to amend Zoning
<br />OxAdinance to reclassify Lot iS of Tract No. 35A, Huntington Square
<br />from R-1 District to R-2 District, in accordance with application
<br />of Clarence S. Mills, was read and on motion of Trustee Chandler,
<br />seconded by Cheney and carried, Clerk was instructed to publish
<br />a notice of hearing ten days prior to City Council meeting to be
<br />held March 15th, 1948, relative to rezoning said property.

<br />On recommendation of the committees and on motion of Trustee
<br />Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, the following Resolution
<br />
<br />entitled:

<br /> "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations
<br /> Under Ordinance No. 1030"
<br />
<br />establishing a loading zone on the west side of So. Main St.
<br />between First and Walnut Streets, located as follows: the South
<br />20 ft. of the North~4.5 feet, and e~tablishing a loading zone
<br />on the south side of E. Fifth Street between Main and Bush Sts.,
<br />located as follows: the West 40 feet of the East 100 feet, was
<br />read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3645 and passed by
<br />
