City Council met for a special meeting for the purpose of designating a Councilman as Director to serv~ with the Mayor of Santa Ana and a Supervisor of Orange County as representatives of District No. ~ to the Orange County Sanitation District, adopt Resolution amending Resolution No. 3666 and repealing Resolution No. 3668 with reference to salaries and working hours of city employees. Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall june 28th, 1948. 4:Z0 P.M. Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. Present: Trustees WoJ. Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, R. Carson Smith. Absent: Trustees Virgil. H. Reed In Re Appointment Trustee Reed, Director, Dist. No. I of the Or. Co. Sanitation Dist. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried, Trustee Reed was ,appointed with the Mayor to represent the City of Santa Ana, as Director of District No. 1 of the Orange County In Re Resol. No. 3672 Repealing Resol. No. 3668 as amended by Resol. No. 3666 Est. salary rates and working hours Sanitation Distrilct, together with Fred C. Rowland, County ~upervisor. A petition was re~d signed by five officials and forty-two City Hall employees requesting that Council reconsider Resolution No. 3668 relative to Working hours. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, a Resolution repeaIing Resolution No. 3668, as amended by Resolution No. 3666, establishing salaries and change in working hours, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3672 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, Allen A. Mandy, H. Carson Smith. None Virgil H.
