<br /> "ORDINANCE NO. 1304
<br /> An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana,
<br /> California, providing for the issuance
<br /> of bonds of said City in the amount of
<br /> $~75,0o0.oo.

<br /> ~HEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1289 of the City of Santa Aha, Orange County,
<br />California, a special election was duly and regularly held in said city on the 6th
<br />day of June, 1950, at which election there was submitted to the qualified voters of
<br />said city the following bond proposition, to-wit:
<br />
<br />CITY OF SANTk ANA BOND PROPOSITION. FI.RE DEPARTMENT BONDS.
<br />
<br />Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness
<br />in the principal sum of $475,000.00 for the acGuisition
<br />and construction by said City of a certain municipal
<br />improvement, to-wit: additions to and improvements of
<br />the fire-fighting facilities cf the city of Santa Ana,
<br />said additions and improvements to consist of two fire
<br />stations, a training station, fire apparatus, and
<br />additions to the fire alarm system and the reconstruct-
<br />ion of parts of such system, including the acquisition
<br />of all land, property, equipment, and furnishings
<br />necessary for said improvement?
<br />
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, said proposition received the affirmative vote and assent of more than
<br />two-thirds of all of the qualified voters of said city voting at said election, and
<br />said City is now authorized to issue bonds in the amount and for the purpose set
<br />forth in said proposition;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Santa Aha DOES ORDAIN as follows:
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That bonds of the City of Santa Ana, California, in the principal sum
<br />of four hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($475,000.00) be issued and sold for the
<br />purpose set forth in the bond proposition in the recitals hereof. Said bonds shall
<br />be designated FIRE DEPARTMENT BOND, ~950, shall be 475 in number, numbered 1 to 475,
<br />incluzlve, and shall be of the denomination of $1,000 each. Said bonds shall be
<br />dated September 1, 1950, ~nd shall be payable in consecutive numerical order, twenty
<br />(20) bonds annually on September 1st of each year from September , 1951 to September
<br />1, 1973, both inclusive, and fifteen (15) bonds on September l, 1974.
<br />
<br /> Said bonds shall bear interest at a rate or rates to be hereafter fixed by
<br />resolution, but not to exceed four per cent ($%) per annum, payable semi annually on
<br />the first days of March and September of each year. Said bonds and the interest
<br />thereon shall be payable in lawful money of the United States of America at the office
<br />of the Treasurer of the City of Santa Ana in the City of Santa Ana, California.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the executive of said City, to wit, the Mayor and President of
<br />the Board of Trustees and Council thereof, and the Treasurer of said City are hereby
<br />authorized and directed to sign all of said bonds by their printed, lithographed or
<br />engraved facsimile signatures, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized
<br />and directed to countersign said bonds and to affix thereto the corporate seal of
<br />said City, and the Treasurer of said City is hereby authorized and directe~ to sign
<br />the interest coupons of said bonds by his printed, lithg~raphed or engraved facsimile
<br />signature, and to number said interest coupons of each of said bonds consecutively.

<br /> Section 3. That said bonds and the coupons for the interest thereon shall be
<br />issued in substantially the following form:
