Rogers accepted <br /> <br /> and officials authorized to sign map. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Map <br /> of Tract No. 1363 was approved covering improvements on Pine <br /> Street from Baker to Bristol Streets, and bond w~itten by Fireman <br /> Fund Indemnity Company, in the amount of $9500.00, submitted by <br /> <br /> Lloyd G. Welch accepted and officials authorized to sign map. <br /> ,! <br /> <br /> A petition was read signed by seven residents and property owners <br /> in the 500 block W. 1st and W. 2nd S~.eets requesting that the <br /> alley be covered witk black top or o$1 sprayed. On motion of <br /> T~ustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, request was <br /> referred to the City Engineer for recommendation and to report <br /> back. <br /> <br /> A petition was read signed by 105 residents and property owners <br /> in the vicinity of the 700 block East Fourth Street requesting <br /> that the Chief of Police and Council use their influence with the <br /> State Board of Equalization to deny liquor permit application of <br /> Ramon A. Prado at 718 East Fourth Street. On motion of Trustee <br /> Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, petition was referred to <br /> <br /> the Chief of Police for investigation and report. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, <br /> claim of Loretto Rose Ashen for damages in the amount of $2500.00 <br /> for alleged injuries sustained when she fell on the sidewalk <br /> <br />' adjacent to the northerly side of W. 8th St. approximately 20 feel <br /> <br /> east of No. Van Ness St., was referred to the City Attorney and <br /> <br /> Insurance Carrier. <br /> # <br /> <br /> Communication was read from Harrison Pontiac Company offering to <br /> furnish eight cars to the Police Department, including the Chief~ <br /> official car and paddy wagon for the sum of SI1,000.00 annually. <br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded 'by Martin and carried, Truste <br /> Martin and City Attorney, were appointed, as a committee, to conf <br /> with Attorney B.Z.McKinney and Wayne Harrison and prepare a <br /> <br /> contract agreement agreeable to parties concerned. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Park Superintendent and on motion of <br /> Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, proper official <br /> were authorized to enter into an agreement with the American <br /> Fruit Growers Inc., to pick and market the orange crop at Prentic~ <br /> Park. <br /> <br /> On motion of T~ustee Martin, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> contract form for handling sewage from the Lighted-Than-Air Base <br /> was referred to committee for recommendation and to report back. <br /> <br /> City Engineer and Attorney, were appointed, as committee. <br /> # <br /> <br /> <br />
