Sargent <br /> <br />Communication from City Engineer, together with copy of <br />letter from District Engineer, Division of Highways, <br />regarding installation of traffic signals at 6th and <br />Main Streets, were read and on motion of Trustee Mandy, <br />seconded by Reed and carried, commuuications were <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 1078, <br /> Commonly Known as the "Fire Zone Ordinance" <br /> <br />chanqing block bounded on the west by Broadway, on the <br />east by Sycamore Street, on the south by Walnut Street, <br />and on the north by First Street, namely, Block No. 2 of <br />Palmer's Addition, from Fire District No. i to Fire <br />District No. 2, in accordance with application of Church <br />of Christ, was read, considered, designated Ordinance <br />No. 1201 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees W.J. Cheney, Courtney R.Chandler, <br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil R. Reed, <br /> R. Carson Smith. <br /> <br />Noes, <br /> <br />Absent, <br /> <br />Trustees None <br /> <br />Trustees None <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of <br />Trustee Cheney, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution establishing time limit parking ,, zone under Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1030 <br /> <br />establishing a ten (10) minute parking zone on the east <br />side of North Main Street between llth and 12th Streets, <br />located as follows: the North 18 feet of the South 121.5 <br />feet, in accordance with application of Washington <br />Cleaners, was introduced, read, considered, designated <br />Resolution No. 3559 and passed by the following votes <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />WoJ.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, <br />Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, <br />R. Carson Smith. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None <br /> <br />Communication was read from E.L.Sargent stating that he <br />intends to build a new store at 631 So. Main St. for <br /> <br />V. JoBorchard (88'x130') on 38' of the present building <br />and 50' on the lot north, with a five-foot set-back, <br />which building would not be in line with the set-back <br />line, and stating his willingness to cut five feet off <br />the front to correspond with the new market building if <br />the City would reimburse him in the amount of $8,000.00 <br />for expenditures. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br /> <br />
