RESOLUTION NO. 56-218 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED <br />ANNEXATION TO T~HE CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN <br />UI~Ii~tABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEF~IN AND DESIGNATED <br />'~BERNSTEIN FIFTH STREET ANI~EX", AND GIVING NOTICE OF <br />TI~E ~D PLACE FOR HEARIi~G OF PROTESTS THERETO <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California <br />has approved the description of certain real property as herein <br />set out for the purpose of annexation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, t~le o~mers of said real property have filed a <br />petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City <br />of Santa Ana, California annex said real property, stating that <br />the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing that said real <br />property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of <br />said City contracted prior to such annexation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOP~, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all <br />of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Unin- <br />habited Territory Act of 1959 and finds and hereby declares that <br />said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 <br />registered voters residing in it on August 6, 19~, the date when <br /> <br />said petition was filed, that <br />City of Santa Ana, California, <br />is described as: <br /> <br />said territory is contiguous to the <br />lies in the County of Orange, ~nd <br /> <br />That portion of the South half of the Southeast quarter of <br />Section 10, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, S. B. B. & ~., <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at a point in the centerline of West Fifth Street <br />as conveyed to the County of Orange by deed recorded in Book <br />2~2, Page 327, Deeds, Records of Orange County, California, <br />said point being located 77.17 feet South 89° 3~' 00" West <br />from a bolt marking the Westerly end of the first course de- <br />scribed in said deed to the County of Orange, said point of <br />beginning also being an angle point in the Westerly boundary <br />of the City of Santa Ana, said point also being the Northwest <br />corner of "Fifth at King Annex~, adopted by Ordinance NS-92, <br />April 4, 1955; running thence South 23° 23' 10" West 741.01 <br />feet along the Westerly boundary of the City of Santa Ana to <br />a point in that certain boundary line established by agreement <br />between J. H. Stewart and wife and L. L. Merchant and wife re- <br />corded February 28, 192~ in Book ~6~, Page 1~9, Deeds, Records <br />of Orange County, California; thence North 89° 4a' 00" West <br /> <br /> <br />
