Bonds shall be issued upon the security of the un- paid assessments shown on the 1st thereof, as hereinabove de- termined, for the-aggregate principal of the sum of unpaid assessments, to-wit: $4,61V.26, and shall be payable in nine annual series on the 2nd day of July of each year next succeed lng nine months after their date, until the whole sum of the aggregate principal is paid; said bonds and each of them ahall be~r interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the 30th day of August, 1923, the date of filing with the Clerk of the City of Santa ~na the Street Superlntendent~s list of unpaid assess- mental, and until the whole sum of principal and interest is paid; The interest shall be paid semi-annually by coupons ou the 2nd day of January and July, respectively, of each year after the date of ~he bonds, provided, that the f~rst payment of interest shall not be until the 2nd day of January, 1925, being six months before the maturity of the first annual ser- ies of the bonds. The bonds and interest shall be paid at the office of the Treasurer of the City of Santa Aha, in said cit~ Count~ of Orange, State of California, and upon the ~esenta- tion of the proper bonds and coupons out of the redemption ~und, and under no circumstances shall said bonds or interest thereon be paid out of any other fund. A redemption fund shall be kept by the Treasurer of the City of Santa Aha, desi~ hated: Spurgeon Street Improvement Bond Redemption fund, in which the Treasurer shall' place al.; sums received from the collection of assessments made for the payment of the cost of the work and improvement upon which the bonds are issued, and the interest and penalties thereon.
