ss appears from the affidavit of Edna clerk of the printers and publishers and which affidavit was fi]ed in the L. Herrick, principal of said daily newspaper, office of the Clerk of the City of Santa Aha, on the 4th day of August, 1924, and is now on file therein; and WHEREAS, the Street ~upsrintendent of the City of Santa Aha commenced to post the notices hereinbefore referre¢ to on the 21zt day of July, 1924, and fully completed the posting thereof on t~e 25 day of J~ly, 1924, more than ten days before t?e d~y set for hearing protests or obJectio~s t the proposed work or improvement, ~ll ~s apoesrs by the sffl davit of W. G. Kno×, Street Super'intendant of the City of Smnts Aha, filed in the office of the Clerk of said City on the 28th day of July, 1924, and now on file therein; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of San t~ Aha hsd fixed the 18th day of August, 1924, ~t the hour of V:gO o'clock P.M. and the Counci~ Chamber of said Board of Trustees, s~me being the day, hour and place named in the Resolution of Intention and Notice of Public ~ork, when and where any and all persons having any objections to the pro- posed public work or improvement might appear before th~ Board of Trustees, and show cause why said why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution of Intention; ~nd whereas, st the~tim~e set for said hesrlng on August 18th, 1924, there was not a quorum present and no meeting was held or any action t~ken exceptin~ to continue the hearing in said meeting until the hour of V:JO o'clock P.M. of August 25th, 1924; and whereas, st said hour on August 25th, 1924, st the time to which the hearing was continued for hearing protests or objections the Board of Trustees of said. City proceeded to hear the same; and WHEHEAS, all protests or objections presented hsv- lng been disposed of, overruled ~nd denied in time, m~nner and form ss required by law, City of Santa Aris having now the proposed improvement, it and the ~oard of Trustees of the acquired Jurisdiction to order is hereby:- RESOLVED AND OHDERED, that the public interest and convenience requires the work hereinafter described, and the Board of Trustees ~ the City of S~nta Aha hereby orders the followin~ work to be done and improvement made iu the City of Santa Aha ss follows: City be a. That certain streets and sewer lines in s~id vacated and ~bandoned ss follows: (1) To vacate that pnrtion of French Street.~as shown on a map of "Carey H. Smith's Addition to the Town of Santa Aha" recorded in Book 28, page ~, of Miscellaneous Rec- ords of Los Angeles County, Cs~ifornia, the same being a
